​Artists Statement
​
Angel Greenham is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice encompasses painting, sculpture, and photography. Her work delves into the intersection of sensory experience, materiality, and audience engagement, inviting viewers to explore the tangible and intangible aspects of perception.
​
Greenham's notable sculpture, Beyond Human, is on permanent loan to the University of Bath's Physics Department, reflecting her interest in the convergence of art and science. She was commissioned by the Victoria Gallery to create a significant work, further establishing her presence in esteemed art institutions. Her international exhibitions include a group show in Osaka, Japan, underscoring her global reach.
The Beyond Earth series, is a body of work inspired by infrasound recordings collected by Sandia National Laboratory scientists from the stratosphere (the second layer of Earth's atmosphere, situated above the troposphere and extending approximately 31 miles high). She translates these inaudible frequencies into visual form by layering recurring motifs to create an echoing effect, evoking the essence of sound waves.
Bridging art and science, her work integrates data, mathematics, and research to spark curiosity. Through this synthesis, she invites viewers to explore the deeper narratives embedded within the scientific discoveries that inform her practice.
